Andraste Celtic Goddess of Victory
A great themed shoot with the very talented Laura b grr model, she did a fabulous job of bringing this original styled mythical character to life.
This particular themed shoot started life as a part of my Celtic goddes themed series, inititally i designed and made the set set of props used , the spear shield and body armour were all created over the space of a few months, then the styling was fianlised with laura who came on board when she expressed an interest in colaborating
We then had to schedule in a date and time to shoot on location.
The faux fur was cut and styled to suit Laura , and the simple additions of belt dagger etc helped to bring the brief together on the day.
As laura is based in Co Down we dicided to use the Slieve Gullion Forest park as our location, after a quick change in the facilities we made our way up to the forest area near the main entrance, here we started with a few full length natural light shots.
Then i brought in some OCF to add a little extra depth and tone to some of the images, Laura was excellent she flawlessly produced poses to fit the styling.
we moved between a couple of different spots to change the vibe and introduced a prop sword to add a warrior vibe to a few additional shots.
On processing the shots i decided to use an earthy tone filter to bring the eye into play , drawing towards the model.
Close up you can see the fabulous skills of Laura you did her own makeup and hair , and it was a wonderful way to complete the envisaged styling.
To complete the look Laura did a bespoke makeup with warrior viking feel and she added the leather leg strap and hair feathers, an amazing styling extra.
Each shot was brought back to the editing suit and tweeked to allow for colour balance and tone , and i created a photoshop multilayed image to complete the theme.
many thanks to the amazing Laura for all her help with the shoot if you have any questions feel free to leave them in the comments:-)
